In 1891 werd een oude korenmolen in Keith (Speyside) omgebouwd tot de Glenisla-Glenlivet distillery. In 1895 werd Glenisla overgenomen door een gin handelaar die de naam veranderde in Strathmill. Tegenwoordig is Strathmill onderdeel van Diageo.
