Braeval is een Speyside distillery, ze werd in 1973 door Chivas gebouwd met de naam Braes of Glenlivet. De mooie gebouwen wekken een traditionele indruk, van binnen is het een moderne, geautomatiseerde distillery. Na de overname van Chivas door Pernod Ricard in 2001 werd Braeval in 2002 gesloten. In de zomer van 2008 werd de distillery heropend. Braeval heeft zes stills, de lyne arms hellen omhoog (zie de foto) waardoor alleen de lichtere alcoholen uit het distillaat er doorheen komen. Het profiel van Braeval is daardoor licht, bloemig en fruitig.
